CAREER ADVANCEMENT ROADMAP STEPS

Step 1: Clarify & define your career vision

Step 1 is dedicated to gaining clarity on what your next career step could look like. We will conduct various exercises to understand your top strengths, interests, and experiences and how they translate to different roles and industries. You will determine your “why” and career purpose. We’ll define key components that will keep you happy in both a role and organization long-term.

Step 2: Build your job search strategy

By the end of Step 2, we’ll work together to define our job search strategy and all the activities we’ll need to do to successfully make the career change. We’ll also determine and fill any gaps to ensure you are highly qualified for the roles you want. This step will establish actionable steps and clear targets to make your vision a reality.

 

Step 3: Maximize your Career Portfolio

Your Career Portfolio is one of the most crucial steps to connect you to your target role. By the end of Step 3, you’ll have an incredible resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, website and/or portfolio that will showcase your achievements and skills in a way that will attract the right stakeholders and convert your job applications to interviews. You'll also learn about market data for the roles you’re targeting and how your current market value compares. 

 

Step 4: Nurture and grow your network to find the best roles

When you’re done with step 4, you’ll understand the fundamentals of networking and how to find available openings that match your search criteria. We’ll build a comprehensive networking machine so your pipeline of opportunities has just as many inbound leads through your own connections. We will also stay focused on identifying roles with a clear path for career advancement and you’ll feel confident you’re interviewing in a powerful way with organizations who value high-performing talent. 

 

Step 5: Crush your interviews and negotiate with ease

By the end of step 5, you will feel confident in your interviewing skills and how to show up in a powerful way when you're meeting with interview teams from start to finish. We will practice interviewing for all different interview types as well as how to communicate in between interviews and how to mange your job search proactively and with ease. Finally, we will get you ready to engage in negotiation conversations so that you are ready to ask for what you want and deserve.

*Optional* Step 6: Secure Career Advancement 

Once you've landed the job, let’s set the path for long-term success in your first year! This step can also help with guidance of how to effectively transition out of your current company. In step 6 we will develop your leadership skills to make you a standout teammate in your new role. We will keep you on track towards performance targets and take advantage of all learning opportunities provided throughout your onboarding. This step maps out an action plan based on your first year role objectives and how to get to the next level.
